Corporate Canine was founded by Diane Pekarek. For over 20 years Diane has worked as a senior manager and educator in both the zoo and alpaca industries, and most recently in a public aquarium. During this time she’s created high quality employee training programs, and animal-focused educational programs for visitors, and special needs audiences.
After earning a degree in business from Western Michigan University Diane attended University of Denver’s Institute for Human-Animal Connection (IHAC). Here she studied the critical role that animals play in helping people live healthy lives.
Diane’s passion for animals (and unwavering belief that they help people lead better lives) collided with her business mind and BOOM…Corporate Canine was created!
In addition to creating dog-at-work programs for businesses, Diane is a Certified Instructor for Pet CPR & First-Aid, and offers dog bite prevention seminars for children and adults.
Diane lives on a small farm outside of Cleveland, Ohio with her husband, two dogs, three Scottish Highland cows, numerous chickens and thousands of honey bees!
Because Diane strongly believes that the opportunity to share life with a happy, healthy dog shouldn’t be based on income, a portion of all Corporate Canine proceeds go to non-profits that offer people the ability to provide low-cost spay/neuters, medical care, training and supplies to their companion animals.
